Tiffany Bright, beyond her first priority of motherhood, Tiffany absolutely enjoys sharing the powerful healing tools yoga and nutrition has brought to her own life. Through her determination to repair the damage to her body from several auto-immune disorders, her journey into wellness began by becoming a Certified Yoga Instructor (registered with Yoga Alliance) in 2011. As she began to notice the powerful impact of yoga, she searched for more ways to heal naturally, and received her certification as an Usui Reiki Master later that same year, as well as completing certification in vegan nutrition through the VegMasters program. In 2014 Tiffany became the first person in the state of Kentucky to be a certified Y12SR Leader, which supports those affected by addictions. By 2015 Tiffany became a Certified Health Coach, receiving her training through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition located in New York.
Tiffany also holds a Bachelor's Degree from Youngstown State University, and sits on the Board of Directors for Uplands PEAK Sanctuary, a farm sanctuary that is dear to her heart and her mission of spreading kindness and compassion.
Katie Bright, completed the Y12SR Intensive, is a Certified Reiki I & II Practitioner, completed her RYT 200 yoga teacher certification at Bright From The Heart, is on the board of Uplands PEAK Sanctuary, and is an established local artist.
With her years of experience practicing yoga, and as a preschool teacher, Katie specializes in children's yoga and is the Director of our children's programs relating to yoga classes, yoga/art sessions, parties, camps and Pajama Yoga. By combining her passion of art with yoga she is able to create an extraordinary therapeutic experience that offers healing on all levels of the body and mind. Private and group children's classes are available. Guardian/Child classes are also an option, with the session focus geared towards that child. Holly Wetenkamp, Holly walked into her first ever yoga class one October morning not yet knowing what would come of it. After class, she felt a sense of peace and purpose she had not experienced in a very long time. Greatly intrigued, She signed up for teacher training the following January.
Holly combines her love of nature and art to find beauty in every moment. Interweaving humor and knowledge, she brings fun into her classes. For her, yoga is about practice, and life in itself is a practice.
Holly is in the process of completing her RYT 200 hour certification, is a Certified Reiki I &II Practitioner, nationally registered direct support professional, and has been First-Aid and CPR trained. She currently lives in Eminence, with her fur baby, (dachshund) Lizzy.
Julia Gilman, Julia Gilman and completed her RYT 200 certification at Bright from the Heart! Although a Chicago native, she relocated to Louisville in 2013 and took a pause in a career as a nonprofit fundraiser to be at home with her very busy son.
Julia’s yoga journey began in prenatal classes where she fell in love with the supportive community that was created through regular practice.
She is a proud graduate of the University of Virginia (Wahoowa!), and lives in St. Matthews with her husband and son. She is excited to begin her journey as a teacher and see where this new path will lead.
Katy Stahl, ERYT 500, RPYT didn't know what she was signing up for when she registered for her first yoga training and in what a beautiful way her world would change. For her yoga is all about connection.
Katy has done trainings in vinyasa, Yin, kids, laughter, prenatal and restorative yoga. She’s also done trainings in Reiki and is a Reiki Master as well as completed a doula training.
Katy Co-directs the Day Yoga 200 hour Foundation Teacher training program. Her passion for prenatal motivated her to create the Shanti Mom Prenatal Teacher Training program which is an 85 hour certification for registered yoga teachers to specialize in prenatal yoga and is recognized by the Yoga Alliance. She teaches classes, conducts workshops and trainings in a variety of yoga styles including; prenatal, kids, vinyasa, Taoist yin, prenatal partner, partner, yoga as a business, reiki attunements, subtle anatomy & chakras, gentle yoga, meditation and pranayama (breathing). She lives in La Grange, Kentucky with her husband and 4 children plus 4 dogs.
Ashley Bright, received her Level I&II Usui Reiki Certification, is a 200 hour certified yoga instructor, has CPR and First Aid training, and specializes in forward learning yoga care for children.
Ashley has had violin, ukulele, and singing training. She likes to combine these skills, and her talent for fashion, into the artwork she incorporates through the yoga care program offered at Bright From The Heart Yoga & Wellness.
Ashley has a passion for promoting compassion to all beings, and each year volunteers her time at Uplands PEAK Sanctuary to help in the care and upkeep of the animals and sanctuary grounds.
Amanda Coolsaet, as a massage therapist, Amanda knows how important self care is with helping to heal and prevent injury. She began practicing yoga and soon started to encourage her clients to try yoga to see how they might benefit from it as well.
When Bright From the Heart announced they would be providing yoga teacher training she decided to sign up. Her goal was not only to keep deepening her knowledge of the human body as it related to massage, but to deepen her knowledge of yoga and share it with others.
